Broadliner Westcoast and Epson have announced an expansion of their long-established partnership. Working together, the companies will promote and provide Enterprise and RIPS products to businesses across Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Westcoast will now be offering Epson’s latest Inkjet printer range as either individual units, or as part of a managed print service model. Ideal for businesses looking to cut print costs or reduce environmental impact, Epson Inkjet models require fewer consumables and offer a lower total cost of ownership over its lifespan than a traditional office laser printer. What’s more, Epson RIPS (Replaceable Ink Pack System) technology replaces traditional ink cartridges with recyclable bags of ink, with each pack capable of printing up to 84,000 pages. For the last two years, Westcoast has expanded its capability to support partners that sell, or would like to sell, in the contractual or managed print market, an industry projected to be worth €44.5 billion by 2025 compared to €23.9 billion in 2016. Westcoast already assists channel partners with many of the services they need to better support their end users, including; PDI, delivery and installation, asset removal and a focused sales team with many years of knowledge coming from all areas of print. With managed print, all of this can be offered, plus finance offers, automatic resource restocking and warranty and emergency cover.
To celebrate the new partnership and give resellers a deep understanding into what they can gain from it, Epson and Westcoast have held an introductory event at Epson’s UK head office on 14th May, where partners could be fully immersed in the world of possibilities.
Commenting on the new partnership, Ryan Mitchell, Print Director for Westcoast, commented: “we’re excited to reaffirm our partnership with Epson. They have always been known to produce high-quality inkjet devices to the photographic market. But over the last 5 years, they have built an enviable portfolio of machines that can outperform laser printers in the office and A3 market. They focus heavily on reducing cost-per-page and energy consumption, which we believe will outperform traditional laser printers on the overall TCO during a product’s lifespan.”
Supporting this, Chris Smith, Head of Sales for Epson EU, added: “Epson is proud to be partnering with Westcoast, whose expertise will assist our extended reseller breadth strategy. Working with a distributor who embraces our expanding range of inkjet technology will be a huge benefit for Westcoast’s reseller partners across the UK and Ireland.”
