OCS Gets Serious on Pro-AV

Russian broadliner OCS Distribution has opened a Pro-AV-dedicated division, named "Multimedia (AV)". Beside existing partnerships, this division will carry the distribution of new vendors, including Kramer Electronics (professional switching equipment), Legrand (audiovisual systems), Projecta and Da-Lite (projection screens), Chief (professional brackets), Middle Atlantic (rack cabinets) and Vaddio (PTZ cameras), all parts of Legrand Pro-AV division.

As the tendencies of the last few years show, the need for equipping various objects with multimedia component is actively growing among Russian companies. This applies to small as well as bigger premises. In addition, the market demand is undergoing not only quantitative but also qualitative changes - new goals and objectives are emerging, and the need to develop both standard multimedia solutions and individual ones is growing.

The new direction will allow not only to expand cooperation with existing OCS partners, but also to attract new interested companies that implement projects based on professional audiovisual technologies for government agencies, industrial enterprises, educational, health care, science, leisure (courtrooms, situational centres and control and management points, conference rooms, meeting rooms, theatrical and concert venues, auditoriums of educational institutions, exhibitions, museums, etc.).

Through this division, the partners will be able to get all kinds of Pro-AV-related services: from advice on the choice of equipment for specific tasks to the formation of a competitive product offer for a wide range of equipment for the project. The whole range of support measures from the distributor will be implemented by the Multimedia (AV) Group, which is a part of the OCS Engineering Systems Department and includes commercial and technical specialists.

OCS sees a wide range of opportunities in the development of the new business area to strengthen the presence of its partners in complex multimedia projects of various complexity. For this purpose, it is planned to hold a number of marketing and training events, including field trips, to show in action the equipment and technologies, talk about technical support and development of the partner channel.
