Trax Distribution, a French distributor of electronic products and connected objects for the general public, has announced a new partnership with Screeneo Innovation SA, a subsidiary of the Power Data Holding group, which designs, develops and manufactures Philips brand consumer video projectors. Trax Distribution is in charge of the commercial development of the different Philips projector collections: NeoPix, PicoPix and Screeneo; the distributor will support and accompany the brand in its strategy in France, an important market for it.
Through its ranges and investments, Screeneo Innovation aims to extend its leadership in the consumer video projector market, which is expected to reach nearly €5 billion worldwide in 3 years.
"We are launching nearly 15 new products to our 3 collections in 2019. Our aim is to give a new impetus to the projection market, which is often associated with the professional field, difficult to access and above all complicated. Our product range is now the widest on the market and consists of 3 collections for first time users, nomads/professionals and cinema/gamers addicts", explains Naufel Dekli, Marketing and Communication Director at Screeneo Innovation.
For Trax Distribution, this partnership is an excellent opportunity to open up to a new category of high-potential products and represents an enormous challenge since the commitment of a world-renowned brand such as Philips requires a significant investment and solid processes.
"Offering Philips' collections will allow us to establish ourselves in new areas, to establish ourselves as a leading distributor in France and also to seek new partnerships in retail. To date, the Philips brand is referenced by retailers and e-tailers Office Dépôt, Lyreco, Groupe LDLC, Cdiscount and Système U. Other brands will soon arrive", says Fabien Boyer, sales director of the Trax Distribution group.
For the consumer, this partnership between Trax Distribution and Screeneo Innovation fares well for the future, as the video projector brand has already invested and presented several new models covering entry, medium and high-end, notably at CES 2019 in Las Vegas.
