Tech Data Launches Tech-as-a-Service

Broadliner Tech Data has launched in France Tech-as-a-Service (TD TaaS), its new finance contract management platform that enables its resellers to offer a complete operational leasing solution to their B2B customers. Techas-aService thus responds to the transformation of the IT market which is evolving towards a user economy and the replacement of acquisition by subscription.

According to the 2016 Future Workforce Study conducted by Dell and Intel, for nearly half (46%) of respondents, technological concerns are very time-consuming at work, including administrative tasks (19%) and problems of slowness or obsolescence.

Integrated into InTouch, Tech Data's product sales platform, Tech-as-a-Service offers a new way to acquire technology by facilitating access to the latest technologies at a lower cost. Through this platform, resellers can offer their customers a financial leasing solution via a monthly rent that preserves their cash flow. This allows them to renew their IT equipment and remain at the cutting edge of technology without capital investment.

By ordering the equipment from Tech Data, the reseller can add his own services to the InTouch basket at delivery (installation, training...), before generating a financing proposal for his customer in a few clicks. It can track its current funding offers, interact with the funding agency, track contracts and be alerted to renewal opportunities. All products, software and services available on Tech Data's e-commerce platform are eligible for TD TaaS financing.
