Over the past years, German security and software VAD Prianto has built up its purchasing management department in addition to its core business of software distribution. A specialised team of this department supports large and broadly positioned system houses in the procurement of non-standard software. Central contact persons take over the supplier management for several thousand software manufacturers as well as the search for "exotic" products and thus relieve the purchasing departments of their customers.
In order to further expand these services, Prianto has decided to outsource this business in a dedicated subsidiary, named Prianto PPM GmbH (for Prianto Project & Procurement Management). The management of this newly founded company has been taken over by the long-standing distribution manager Thomas Kasper. Kasper was Managing Director of ALSO Germany for many years, responsible for sales and marketing, and then Product Marketing Director for Broadline Business at Tech Data. In the following years, he built up the DACH business for the American software manufacturer Carbonite and worked as a consultant in the IT channel.
"Thomas Kasper has many years of experience in IT distribution and the software business and, with his extensive industry knowledge, is the ideal candidate for this position", says William Geens, Managing Director of Prianto GmbH. "Together with him, we want to successfully expand the services in purchasing management for our customers."
The new Prianto PPM GmbH is aimed at system houses that wish to purchase a wide variety of software products simply and at competitive prices from a single source. Its operations for whole Europe are centralised in Germany. Account management teams will be deployed for individual large system houses to develop an information and service offering perfectly tailored to the system house. These include electronic data transmission via EDI, individualised price lists and a high degree of compliance and security.
