Belgian network and security VAD Kappa Data has signed a Master Distribution contract with Crescent (better known as Option).
With this contract, Kappa Data wants to further expand its distribution activities in the BeNeLux to the IoT market. "With this contract, IoT becomes the third pillar that Kappa Data will continue to expand, in addition to network and security solutions. In addition to existing solutions such as the Barracuda CG Firewall, with which one can set up highly secure VPN and SDWAN in industrial environments, Crescent (Option) comes up with solutions to connect IoT sensors with various communication possibilities to an IoT platform", explains Patrick Casteels, managing director of Kappa Data.
Crescent's CloudGate solution allows 3G/4, BLE, ZigBee and LoRaWAN devices to be connected. Crescent thus provides a scalable, cost-effective solution to provide connectivity to industrial applications.
