British POS specialist Varlink has appointed Lorien Lightfoot as their new Head of Sales and Marketing.
This appointment preceded a restructure within the company with Marketing and Sales being combined into one office to enable them to work more closely together. Lorien was the Head of Marketing before being promoted to Head of Sales and will now manage both teams within the company.
Lorien had over 10 years of management experience before joining Varlink in October 2017 as Marketing Manager. She was quickly promoted to Head of Marketing after just five months. Following her appointment as Head of Marketing, she spearheaded our most successful Meet the Manufacturer event yet in February this year at Leicester King Power Stadium. She was also shortlisted for a CRN Woman in Channel Award this year.
Commenting on Lorien’s recent promotion to Head of Sales and Marketing, Mike, CEO of Varlink, said: “since Lorien joined us in 2017 she has consistently applied her considerable knowledge, skills, enthusiasm and experience to shape and enhance our business and as result, in 2018, she was appointed Head of Marketing. As we look to further improve the service that we deliver to our customers and increase levels of business with our suppliers we determined that we should bring together our sales and marketing functions under the leadership of Lorien who is appointed to the newly created position of Head of Sales & Marketing.”
