Austrian broadliner Omega has hired Florian Wallner as its new CFO. The proven industry expert is moving from Ingram Micro Austria to Omega and will support the management team in the further development of the company. Ideally equipped for the future: Omega benefits from Wallner's outstanding know-how in the international distribution business and his financial expertise.


"After many years of working for large corporations, I am delighted to be taking on responsibility with immediate effect in a large and successful Austrian company like Omega and to play an active role in its further development. Omega is a successful company with high dynamics and speed. This combination and the ability to respond quickly and unbureaucratically to the needs of customer partners has always made me a little envious from the outside over the last 20 years. Now I am part of the team myself and can contribute my full energy", explains Florian Wallner.


As Omega's CFO, Wallner is largely responsible for the company's financial and strategic development and in the process also supports business development in Austria and international markets.

Before joining Omega, Florian Wallner worked for Ingram Micro Austria, first as CFO and since 2008 as Vice President & Country Chief Executive Austria & Switzerland. In the course of this time he made a significant contribution to increasing profitability and developing the Eastern European market. The now 52-year-old began his professional career in 1999 at Europatreuhand Ernst & Young in the Taxation & Audit division. From 1999-2001 he was Chief Accountant at Storage Technology Austria GmbH.


He completed his university education at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and at the St. Gallen Business School in the field of General Management. Further study visits also took him to the University of California and Stanford University.


Florian Wallner is married and enjoys spending his free time playing golf, tennis or skiing. In addition to his sporting activities, he enjoys reading and further education in various subject areas.
