Software VAD Watsoft has joined forces with Generis Capital Partners in a transaction designed to accelerate its development and seize external growth opportunities.
Founded by Oleg Bivol and Stéphane Bec in 2001, Watsoft has established itself as the reference VAD (Value Added Distributor) on the French market of cybersecurity and IT support software solutions. Through its unique network of more than 3,700 integrators and resellers (MSPs, Managed Service Providers and VARs, Value Added Resellers), Watsoft provides access to several thousand customers of small and medium-sized businesses, small and medium-sized enterprises and public administrations. As a privileged commercial partner for software publishers, Watsoft ensures the sourcing of solutions, the commercial animation, the training and the technical support intended for its network of customers / partners.
In a context where IT security is the focus of attention for business leaders, Watsoft guarantees access to the most effective solutions on the market. In order to maintain a high level of expertise, the company wishes to focus its strategy on the following priorities: i) to densify its partner network, ii) to reinforce its sales teams and iii) to pursue the diversification of its portfolio of editors. The transaction with Generis Capital Partners also provides Watsoft with the necessary means to carry out external growth operations in France and in Europe.
The company, which employs 25 people at its headquarters in Pessac (Gironde), is a member of Réseau Entreprendre Aquitaine. It has achieved more than €12m in sales in 2021 - with annualised growth of +25% since 2017. Watsoft has already strengthened its commercial presence in Paris and Lyon during the first quarter of 2022 to expand its national network.
