Network, security and storage VAD SEC Datacom has unveiled a distribution agreement with Armis, covering Denmark, Norway and Sweden and Finland.
Armis is the leading agentless device security platform purpose-built to protect the world of unmanaged and IoT devices – providing passive, real-time and continuous asset inventory, risk management, and detection & response to prevent cyber attacks from disrupting and compromising your business. Armis has the world’s largest Device Knowledgebase, tracking 280M+ devices.
Morten Ekeroth Stenfeldt, Sales Director IT Security & Partner for SEC Datacom, said: “we have been following Armis for a while now and they were definitely on top of our list of vendors we would like to work with. Cyberattacks on unmanaged and IoT devices surged 300% in 2019 according to Forbes and the expected spending on cybersecurity solutions for IoT and unmanaged devices are to reach more than €5 billion globally by 2023. This is a market we want to tap into and therefore we were humbled when Armis approached SEC Datacom as their choice of distributor in the Nordic region. Armis was recently (January 2020) acquired by Insight partners and CapitalG for valuation of €840 million – another big statement about the potential in the marketspace. Armis is committed to work with the channel and launched a New Global Reseller Channel Program in May 2020. Last but not least, Armis has a tight integration with Check Point, Rapid7, FireEye, BlackBerry (all of which we distribute in the Nordics). We look forward to work with Armis in the Nordic region and expect a rapid adoption in the market.”
Paul Davis, VP EMEA for Armis, said “we’re excited about the partnership with SEC Datacom. They have the relationships, the technical excellence and market knowledge to truly support our business, but above that, we trust and respect the team there. The level of early interest across the region has been phenomenal and our partnership with SEC Datacom will fuel our expansion across the Nordics. The market opportunity across the IoT, OT, IT and medical space to discover all devices and ultimately reduce the risk and cost to an organization is the fastest growing space in security. Ultimately, you can’t manage what you can’t see and our unique approach to solving this problem, coupled with the partnership with SEC Datacom, will drive our success.”
