Broadliner Tech Data is filling the position of Managing Director Germany with Barbara Koch, who will retain responsibility as Vice President for the Advanced Solutions DACH specialist area. Michael Görner moves to the position of Vice President Advanced Solutions Germany.
Barbara Koch has been part of the Tech Data management team since 2014 and is responsible for the Advanced Solutions division for Germany and Austria, and since mid-2018 for the entire DACH region.
The trained computer scientist (FH) began her career in 1991 as an account manager at IBM. She then held various marketing and sales positions at IBM, including Director Server & Storage Sales. From 2011, she was responsible for Europe and worldwide as Vice President in the IBM Systems Technology Group.
In her new role as Managing Director Germany, the experienced manager will be responsible for Advanced Solutions DACH, Endpoint Solutions, Datech Solutions, Maverick AV Solutions and GCC (Global Computing Components) as well as Sales and Marketing in Germany. In her new role, she will continue to report to Michael Dressen, Senior Vice President & Regional Managing Director DACH.
Barbara Koch sees her core task as driving the digital transformation internally in the channel and at Tech Data, along with building solution expertise, expanding business process automation and focusing on customer centricity. Her goal is to deliver technologies and solutions that enable connectivity, growth and progress.
Michael Görner, who has been with Tech Data (formerly Workstation 2000 GmbH) since 1995 and was most recently responsible for the IBM and Dell Technologies solution areas as Business Unit Director, will in future lead Advanced Solutions in Germany as Vice President.
