Epson and Bluestar Announce European Partnership
Epson, a global leader in Point-of-Sale (POS) printing technology and BlueStar, the leading global distributor of solutions-based Digital Identification, Mobility, Point-of-Sale, RFID, Digital Signage, and Security technology solutions, are announcing their official partnership that leads to BlueStar bringing Epson's POS solutions to the European reseller market.
Established in 1929 and with offices in 34 locations worldwide, BlueStar is a market leader when it comes to the distribution of technology solutions to its vast network of over 12,000 value-added resellers. The company's mission is to serve the specialty electronics industry as a premier value-add distributor by creating profitable long-term relationships with manufacturers and software solution partners serving the needs of value-added resellers, building value above and beyond the standard distribution model and across vertical markets.
With more than 1.9 billion receipts printed daily on Epson’s POS printers across the world representing almost 62% of all global receipts, Epson is the world leading POS printer manufacturer. With this agreement, Epson will extend its current network of European distributors to provide a closer and even better service to its customers. The POS printer range and the value-add service around it, makes an ideal addition to the BlueStar portfolio. With a go-to-market strategy increasingly focused on the channel, the synergies between both companies, as well as the commercial potential, will help serve the growing demand for POS solutions across Europe.
Ivan Tanev, Director for Business Systems and Robotic Solutions, Epson Europe, commented “Epson Europe is pleased to welcome BlueStar Europe into its established network of POS distributors and to support its POS and mPOS customers across Europe. We are looking forward to working together across Europe and continuing the joint success we already enjoy in other regions of the world.”
"There is no better way to celebrate our 12th anniversary in Europe, than extending our product portfolio with Epson printers", says Keith Robinson, BlueStar's EMEA Managing Director. "For several years BlueStar and Epson have been partnering to develop the retail technology market in the US and LATAM regions, and we are delighted to complete our global presence with this European agreement."
