ICOS Signs Distribution Agreement with odix

Italian security and infrastructure VAD ICOS has signed a distribution agreement with odix, a leading provider of Content Disarm and Reconstruction solutions designed to prevent malware-based cyber-attacks. The agreement covers the Italian market and the DACH region (Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland) through its subsidiary ICOS Deutschland GmbH.

odix's patented technology, called True Content Disarm and Reconstruction (True CDR), removes malicious code from commonly used files using an innovative approach. In contrast to practices based on malicious code detection, odix aims to reconstruct a malware-free copy of infected files through specific algorithms dedicated to each file type. This provides customers with an end-to-end solution against known and unknown attacks, including viruses, ransomware, APTs and zero-day attacks.

With this agreement, ICOS adds an important piece to an increasingly rich cybersecurity portfolio of newly developed solutions designed to respond to increasingly frequent and sophisticated threats.
