Ingram Micro Cloud has expanded its collaboration with Thales in France. This collaboration is part of the group's global strategy to be the market leader in the distribution of cloud and cybersecurity solutions. Ingram Micro has been distributing Thales' Data Protection on Demand (DPoD) through its Cloud Marketplace for several weeks.
This agreement will enable Ingram Micro and Thales to complement their cloud offerings to meet the operational, productivity and infrastructure needs of organisations. Thales' Data Protection on Demand (DPoD) solution is the answer to many challenges. The Data Protection on Demand (DPoD) key management service is designed for partners offering a cloud-prioritised approach or helping customers migrate some of their data to the cloud. It greatly simplifies management processes. A cloud-independent solution so you can manage keys to multiple clouds from a single central point, with low operational cost.
Ingram Micro/Abbakan's cybersecurity sales teams will offer this cloud-as-a-service access management solution in addition to the Thales offering they have been distributing for years.
"This expansion is part of Thales' efforts to enable customers to adopt the cloud with its trusted partners Ingram Micro and Abbakan, combining cybersecurity expertise as well as an end-to-end e-commerce platform to deliver data protection and key management as a service", said Todd Moore, vice president of encryption products at Thales.
The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace will enable resellers to efficiently provision and manage subscriptions, renewals, reporting and billing.
"This partnership reinforces the transformation we began 10 years ago to strengthen our ability to support our partners in building their cloud business in a meaningful and sustainable way", said Frank Charvet, director of Ingram Micro's Cloud Division.
"The Ingram Micro Cloud team and the Ingram Micro/Abbakan Cyber Security Division will combine their expertise, drive and commitment to deliver an exceptional value proposition to the exciting market they serve", concluded Franck Navarro, director of the Ingram Micro/Abbakan Cyber Security Division.
