Belgian network, security and IoT VAD Kappa Data has expanded its portfolio with BlackBerry products.
There was already a first link between the two companies through the distribution contract that Kappa Data had with Cylance, supplier of AI-based anti-malware solutions. Following the acquisition of Cylance by BlackBerry, Kappa Data submitted its application to become a distributor of the entire portfolio. With success: Kappa Data has been able to call itself a fully-fledged BlackBerry distributor since the first of June through its offices in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Kappa Data will mainly focus on the distribution of the BlackBerry Spark solution: a software suite combining Trusted Unified Endpoint Security and Unified Endpoint Management for all endpoints. After all, the suite protects business PCs and laptops as well as personal computers and smartphones.
Patrick Casteels, Managing Partner Kappa Data, said: "by signing this contract Kappa Data once again proves its position in the network security market. Based on our limited contract with Cylance, BlackBerry gives us the opportunity to become a strong BlackBerry distributor in the Benelux."
