American mobile and smart object specialist PCS Wireless has acquired the assets of New Comserve Group in the Netherlands for an undisclosed amount. The strategic acquisition supports the future European growth plans for the business by adding repair, technology processing and refurbishments capabilities to its existing portfolio of services. The business will immediately rebrand to be called PCS Services NL and will continue to serve existing customers as well as provide support for PCS Wireless businesses and affiliates in Western Europe. The move is part of wider PCS Wireless investment into the European region which will also see a new Technology Processing Centre open in the UK in June this year.
PCS Wireless is a leading re-distributor of premium pre-owned technology, and related services, committed to sustainably extending device life cycles around the globe. This investment further underlines the PCS Wireless commitment to the region and to powering the secondary market for devices in Europe. The location will also support major technology circularity projects with some of the world’s leading technology brands through trade-in and buy-back projects.
Fergal Donovan, Regional President Europe for PCS Wireless, said: “this is a further key investment for us. The capabilities and the highly experienced people that the New Comserve acquisition brings to PCS Wireless will be key to power our continued growth aspirations across Europe. We are very excited to welcome all the Comserve colleagues to the PCS Europe family.”
In addition to the acquisition PCS Wireless is also announcing that Pieter Waasdorp has joined the PCS European leadership team in the role of General Manager for the new PCS Services business in the Netherlands.
Pieter Waasdorp said: “I am excited to join PCS Wireless at this important time. We are bringing all our services together in one new facility. We will consolidate, integrate, and start growing over the coming months. Key to our success are the people that work for us and our strong relationships with our customers.”
