Broadliner Tech Data been swelling the ranks of its services team as it makes further investment in a key growth area for its partners. Six new members have joined the team recently, with further recruitment to come.
The new members of the team will boost support to partners around Tech-as-a-Service, configuration services, and B2C finance, principally the Tech Data Easy Upgrade programme, which enables retailers and webstores to offer an easy subscription payment options on new devices. The team is being expanded to meet the growing demand for the services offering, drive further awareness of what’s available, and pave the way for the introduction of new services over the coming months.
Mark Glasspool, services director for Tech Data UK and Ireland, said: “services provide an important growth opportunity for partners in terms of revenue and profit and enable them to add more value to their customers. For partners, creating new services propositions can be time-consuming and costly, and we want to make sure our partners are aware of the broad range of services that we can offer to them. We already have an excellent set of propositions with Tech-as-a-Service and other finance options, configuration of everything from smartphones to servers, the Tech Data Renew trade-in service, and Easy Upgrade. We also have big plans for new service offerings that will extend the portfolio quite considerably. Growing the team will enable us to get a deeper engagement with partners and provide enhanced SLAs and support.”
Current services offered by Tech Data to partners include Tech-as-a-Service, which allows hardware, software, and services to be packaged and sold on a subscription basis, and TD Renew, which provides money on trade-in equipment, give partners a compelling value proposition to take to their customers. In addition, Easy Upgrade enables retailers and webstores to offer single or multiple devices – such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops – on a subscription basis.
