Broadliner Tech Data UK has announced a range of pre-packaged technology solutions focused on making remote and physical workplaces safer, more resilient and more productive.
A recent study of attitudes to the workplace covering 4,700 knowledge workers found that, in the wake of the pandemic, only 12% want to return to full-time office work and 72 percent want a hybrid model combining remote and office work. Faced with this new reality, companies are looking for technology solutions that enhance safety in the workplace, while maintaining productivity and collaboration.
Developed by Tech Data’s in-house experts, the new range of multi-vendor safety and productivity solutions combine data and security technologies as well as a range of professional, managed and financial services. The solutions help businesses to efficiently and effectively manage a range of scenarios including social distancing, telehealth, building occupancy, fever detection, hygiene, information access and business process solutions.
The catalogue includes solutions for queue management, traffic lights systems, alarms to encourage social distancing as well as digital signage, push notifications, track & trace and retail traffic analysis solutions. Telehealth solutions offer unique cloud-based GDPR/HIPAA-compliant workflows, video conferencing and vital signs monitoring. The catalogue also contains innovative AI-based solutions which check if masks or other mandatory protective equipment, such as goggles or helmets, are being used when employees enter a workplace, triggering an acoustic warning signal or closed entrance in case of non-compliance.
Craig Smith, vice president, Data Solutions and IoT Europe at Tech Data, said: "the world of work is changing. Businesses are dramatically reconfiguring their workplaces, whether offices or industrial environments, with a heightened focus on safety and security. In addition, a large proportion of the workforce will continue to be connect from home for the foreseeable future. Technology innovations, such as those presented in Tech Data’s solutions catalogue, help partners and end customers to adapt seamlessly and efficiently to this new reality.”
The solution catalogue will continuously expand with new innovative offerings from participating vendors such as Advantech, Alis, Aruba, Automation Anywhere, Cisco, Ergosense, Everyangle, G2K, IAConnects, IBM, Intel, iOffice, Keonn, Microsoft, Secufy, Tibco, Tracktio, WiCis among others
