Tech Data in Partnership with Check Point

Broadliner Tech Data Italia has unveiled a new agreement with Check Point Software Technologies to distribute their end-to-end security solutions. The solutions delivered by Check Point Software Technologies offer comprehensive protection against 5th and 6th generation cyber attacks, providing consistent, real-time prevention against known and unknown threats in both the end-to-end and cloud environments. Tech Data, on the other hand, is able to offer and guarantee a variety of services managed in the Cyber Security field.
RECON Security Managed Services, for example, is the suite of services provided by Tech Data on behalf of resellers, with specific solutions for Next Generation Firewall, EndPoint, Identity and Additional Services such as Monitoring and Reporting. Now, thanks to the agreement with Check Point, further new services will be designed for the channel, always guaranteeing high competence, SLA in line with market needs and very competitive costs.
"In Tech Data we consider the ecosystem of Next Generation Technologies as the main distinctive element of our positioning in the IT value chain; an approach that is proving to be even more successful in a market like the Italian one, where the value of the partnership, of the competence centres and of the assets that a multinational company can make available to the channel are making the difference", says Vincenzo Bocchi, One Software and Next Generation Technologies Director Tech Data. "The new agreement represents an important step in the transformation of the channel because, with a security brand like Check Point a portfolio, we can guide our partners in the adoption, in the security field, of new business and architectural models, in line with what Cloud and IoT ask us, which still see the security brought to the market in a traditional way. It is an investment in skills and innovation that both we and Check Point are bringing to Italy to offer an important value proposition for the large number of our partners that transit Cloud on our marketplace."
For Roberto Pozzi, Regional Director Southern Europe, Check Point Software Technologies, the new agreement aims to further strengthen Check Point's leadership in cybersecurity thanks to the distributor's technological expertise: "we are particularly proud to begin this new value partnership, which represents a further step towards achieving important strategic results, especially in the cloud, which continues to remain one of the main challenges of cybersecurity."
"As Tech Data, we needed a vendor that could help to assert and intensify our capabilities and attitudes in the security technologies delivered through the use of the Cloud. Check Point has a complete product portfolio that covers every technological need in the field of Cyber Security. With Cloud Security solutions, designed and developed by Check Point, and available for all major public clouds, we can now bring the best security technologies to our ecosystem in the age of digital transformation", said Franco Altieri, Security Practice Leader at Tech Data.
