British software specialist Sigma Software Distribution and its parent company, CDF Group, have been acquired by Wayside Technology Group to accelerate Climb’s Cloud Marketplace position and expand their footprint in EMEA.

CDF and Sigma bring a robust cloud services platform to Climb and significantly strengthen our position in the EMEA market”, said Dale Foster, CEO of Climb Channel Solutions. “By utilizing CDF’s existing cloud infrastructure, we believe that our cloud offerings are better positioned to meet the growing needs of our vendor and VAR partners in both EMEA and North America. Additionally, with the added support of CDF’s professional services division CloudKnowHow, we can make cloud integration seamless for our clients and further build out our team’s technical expertise. This presents a long-term strategic opportunity for us to expand into more value-added services that can deepen our partnership with customers.

Jane Silk, Managing Director of Sigma, added: “Sigma and Climb share many vendor relationships and our combined expertise in developing emerging technology brands makes this the ideal partnership. We will continue to work with our resellers to accelerate our mutual growth and there will be no change to how we operate – it really is business as usual. That said, we are very excited about the new opportunities that we believe will arise from being part of the Climb Channel Solutions family, and these opportunities will only serve to deepen our relationship with the channel.
