Telecom and security VAD Westcon-Comstor has inked a distribution agreement with Imperva, the leading cybersecurity company dedicated to helping organisations protect their data and all means of accessing it. As part of the agreement, the Westcon division will distribute Imperva's entire portfolio in France, including application and data protection wherever it resides and its Sonar platform to help organisations manage the complex risks of cyber attacks.
Recognised as a leader for the seventh consecutive year in Gartner's 2020 Magic Quadrant for Web Application Firewalls (WAF), we believe Imperva is leading the market in moving from a fragmented application security environment to a unified Web and API application protection (WAAP) environment.
As threats to applications have evolved significantly over the past five years, Imperva has built a platform that combines previously heterogeneous technologies protecting applications, microservices, APIs and databases. To protect these next-generation applications now and in the future, the Imperva platform enables organisations to prevent DDoS attacks, malicious bots, API attacks and supply chain fraud. It also eliminates the need for siloed solutions and provides integrated analytics while automating the flow of operations and accelerating incident response.
"The rush to digital transformation brought on by the pandemic has created loopholes and security teams now lack visibility into how sensitive data is accessed, leaving their organisations at risk", said Gerald Delplace, Area VP EMEA South, Imperva. "The need for a unified approach that allows organisations to protect data wherever it is located - from outside the network to inside the network - is very real. Our platform and solution portfolio, combined with Westcon France's wealth of services and experience, provide an attractive value proposition to drive growth in the market and help organisations stop complex, automated attacks."
The distribution agreement, which takes effect this month, also represents an opportunity for Westcon to strengthen its Next Generation Solutions (NGS) portfolio in the French market with a Zero Trust approach, a cloud security offering and a cyber security offering.
Sébastien Asseman, Managing Director of Westcon France, added: "with the application security market valued at €3.39 billion in 2020 and €12.91 billion by 2026 and with the botnet detection market estimated at €1.1 billion by 2025, Imperva, as a recognised market leader, is a key addition and player to our NGS vendor portfolio, helping our reseller partners significantly increase their customers' resilience against cyber attacks, regardless of whether they target on-premises or cloud applications."
