Consumer electronics specialist Trax Distribution has acquired for an undisclosed amount the IT business of Sangha France. Financed by BNP Paribas (as lead), BPI, Crédit Agricole, LCL and Société Générale, this transaction enables Trax Distribution, which is renewing its banking pool for the occasion, to extend its growth drivers and take a new step in its development plan. Hoping to reach rapidly €100 million in sales, the acquisition of Sangha France's IT business should enable Trax Distribution to strengthen its presence in the French channel and expand its storage and memory offering with quality products that are leaders in their segments.
Sangha France, which has been created in 1998 by Jean-Pierre Philippe, is a key player in storage and memory media in France. With a presence in the majority of distribution networks in France and thanks to know-how and experience acquired over the past 30 years, the company achieved sales of €15 million in the current financial year, a steady increase for several years.
Trax Distribution is a subsidiary of the OFF Financière et Participations group, specialised in consumer distribution in France, Benelux and North Africa. The Lyon-based group will reach a consolidated turnover of 45M€ over the 2017/2018 financial year. The group distributes more than 40 brands across several all retail segments in the country.
